Workflow Bar Overview

Workflows are the way RedEyeDMS automates your business process to take an artefact from one revision to the next.

All of the activities involved in this process are represented by individual steps in each Workflow, and the Workflow Bar represents the progress of the Artefact through these steps.

To access the workflow bar, navigate to the Artefact Page.

From here you can see a green status indicator that shows:

• how far the Artefact has progressed through the workflow
• who performed the last step (last Green section)
• who has permission to perform the next step (next white section)

You can also launch the Markup Tools, perform other functions that are enabled for the Workflow (such as create Child Artefacts), and intervene in the Workflow to Cancel or Change a Workflow, and Undo Workflow Steps.

When the Artefact progresses through the Workflow Steps the events will be recorded, and viewable, in the History tab of the sidebar.
