Compare Versions

Using RedEye enables you to easily compare versions of an artefact.

This feature is located in the Artefact Page of the selected Artefact, from the History tab on the Sidebar.

Select two Versions to review, and then click Compare.

Once in the Compare tool, you can toggle views between Overlay or Split. Select these views from the top right corner of the window.

Overlay View: This view includes a Fade slide that you can move to fade between versions, easily identifying the differences between versions.

Split view: This view shows a side-by-side comparison of the two versions.

You can also change which Versions you are comparing by selecting from the two drop down menus.

When you are finished, click Back to Artefact from the top bar to exit.

Visual Timeline:

If you want to step through each Version status that an artefact has progressed through, you can do this using the Visual Timeline.

From the History section of the Artefact Page, simply click Visual Timeline.

You can now step through each version by clicking on the Timeline Bar, or by clicking the Next or Previous Arrows on the left and right side of the screen.
