Roles Required:
Bucket Administrator
Group Administrator
In RedEye's Search page, you can easily add artefacts in your search results to The Collection to perform bulk action. The Collection is like a shopping cart that you can put artefacts into temporarily, while you continue to search. One of the useful functions is the ability to bulk change artefact workflows.
The prerequisite of changing workflows is that you'll need Bucket Administrator or group Administrator role to do so
The Collection appears as a white circle on the bottom right corner.
Once you have selected all the items you want to perform a bulk action to, click on the Collection icon and click on Action button from the bottom.
Navigate to the Change Workflow button under the Workflow menu. Note that Assign Workflow only works for artefacts with no workflow assigned (artefacts created by the placeholder function) while Change Workflow works for artefacts with or without workflows so it's always a good idea to use the Change Workflow function.
Select the intended workflow you're assigning the artefacts in the collection to under the WORKFLOW menu. If any artefacts are in an active workflow (meaning they still have actions pending in the current workflow), they will come up in the menu below like in the example screenshot indicating "1 artefacts with ACTIVE workflow / 10 Artefacts stashed".
The default setting of the tool is to skip any artefacts in active workflows so any progress made is not lost. If you intend to cancel the workflow and move them to the new workflow, un-check the tick boxes next to the artefacts or click CANCEL ALL to un-check all in the collection and then click Confirm to make bulk workflow change.
One little tip for you:
If you want to bulk cancel workflows, you can follow the above process and just assign the artefacts back to the original workflow.
