Note: The recommended maximum number of files per upload set in Upload V3 is less than 100
Preview Status
Some files in RedEyeDMS are previewable and some are non-previewable, indicating that a preview cannot be displayed in browser. For these artefacts (eg .zip, XLSM) we apply a default icon image as a preview and indicate that it can't be work-flowed in the preview pane.
Dedicated 3D formats like Navisworks etc preview using Forge 3D viewer though they are also not supported for workflow.
Upload Versions
The frontend upload page currently has 3 versions available (Bucket Admin can check/set in Manage Bucket->Configuration->Upload tab):

V1 (Default) has a file upload size limit of 200mb per artefact

V2 allows much larger sizes per artefact, depending on the format - speak with your Customer Success Manager (CSM) if you need larger upload limits set.

V3 - RECOMMENDED. V3 provides better pre-upload validation checks and error notifications to assist uploaders avoid format and duplicate errors. The upload job runs in the background allowing you to work in other areas until we email a notification of the status of the upload job completion, including success/fail details for each file.

NB:

Regardless of the file size limit, all files are subject to a 60 seconds time out, i.e. if a file is still not displayed in Office after 60 seconds, it will be displayed as a PDF.

**Tiff files compressed using the CCITT T.6 method is incompatible with RedEye. The compression method has security risks hence no longer supported by modern practices.

Drawing Type artefacts -
CAD (.dwg, .dgn etc)
XLS (Cable schedules etc)
This means that regardless of the current format of the latest version at Draft Checked Out step (eg. redpen version is a png), you can only Check In a CAD, PDF or XLS file.
NOTE: Checking in formats other than these will appear to be executing though will fail silently without error message and the workflow will not progress.
This format enforcement was introduced to promote best practice so that photos, sketches and redpen versions can be updated with valid accepted drafting standards file formats.
Document and Media Type artefacts -
All supported file types matching the native format, and PDF, will be accepted when Checking In new versions of Documents and Media. eg. A Docx file can be checked in against a Document type artefact
