What's in this article:
There are several ways to upload a new artefact in the DMS. You can easily upload drawings, documents, and media to your bucket via the Upload Page. From there you are able to select the appropriate workflow, and even select which groups you want to store them in from this simple interface.
Uploading is often restricted to specific user roles within your organisation, be sure to check with your bucket administrators to find out who has permission to do this.

The Upload Page
You can access the Upload Page by clicking the Upload button in the left-hand navigation bar. This is a single or multi upload via Drag & Drop or Click to Add
You can also launch an upload page by clicking the Upload Files button in the Groups page, from a Group Details page
Upload is also available from the artefact page via Tools > Upload/Download and choosing either Upload New Revision or Update Current Revision. This is a single upload via Click to add new file
The different artefacts are colour coded - Blue designates Drawings, Yellow for Documents and Red for Media (e.g. photos, video etc.).
The interface consists of 2 main areas:
The Destination Selector drop down is used to select the group that the artefacts are to be uploaded to.
The Workflow and Source File Selector is where you select which artefact type to upload, which workflow to assign the artefacts, and what files to upload. You can either drag and drop files, or click in the box to navigate to your files.
Once you've selected a group, a workflow, and files to upload your artefacts will show a green indicator bar and on completion will display the artefact number. Clicking on the artefact number will open and take you directly to the artefact page
Bulk CSV Tool
You can use the Bulk CSV tool to quickly Edit large volumes of Artefacts, or even Upload new Artefacts in bulk, using metadata from an existing source. A benefit of the Bulk CSV tool is significant savings in time and effort.
Generally assigned to specific users within the organisation. Please check with your administrator regarding role assignment and access. Articles on Bulk CSV are available - search Bulk CSV in the RedEye Help Center.
