The initial release of Multisheet functionality excludes Workflow and related processes from being able to be applied to Multisheet artefacts. This impacts certain Bucket Administration Functions being applied to Multisheet Artefacts. Here is a listing of Bucket Administration Functions that will not be available to Multisheet artefacts
For more information on the Multisheet Feature check out the User Guide and FAQ.

Reported Artefacts - Refresh List
Bulk CSV Tool - Uploading Multisheet Files
Transmittals
Multisheet artefacts will be prevented from being linked to a Transmittal. RedEyeDMS (DMS) will validate if artefacts selected to add to the Transmittal are Multisheet and will display the error message 'Cannot Proceed with this Action in My Collection for Multisheet artefacts. Please remove any Multisheet artefacts from My Collection to proceed with this action.'
Legal Hold
Multisheet artefacts will be prevented from being placed into Legal Hold within DMS. DMS will validate if artefacts selected to add to the Hold step are Multisheet and will display the error message 'Cannot Proceed with this Action in My Collection for Multisheet artefacts. Please remove any Multisheet artefacts from My Collection to proceed with this action.'
Clean Up Tool (Fold In)
The Clean Up Tool in Bucket Administration Tools excludes Drawing Type Artefacts that belong to
Multisheet DWG and/or PDF files from being included in the clean up function. Multisheet artefacts will not be included/made available to be folded in. The reason for this is to prevent artefact corruption by folding in an individual artefact belonging to a Multisheet file to a non Multisheet artefact/file.
Reported Artefacts - Refresh List
When Multisheet Artefacts are created the standard validation processes still are applied via V3 Upload logic. This means Multisheet CAD artefacts can still be uploaded with warnings where Font/Plot Styles/Xrefs are missing. These will appear on the Reported Artefact listing as individual artefacts.
However, the Refresh List function to update the Reported Artefact queue and update previews will exclude any reported Multisheet artefacts from the refresh logic.
Updating Fonts/Plots/Xrefs
For this initial release of Multisheet, the only way a reported Multisheet artefact can be corrected if Font/Plot Styles/Xrefs are missing is for the Font/Plot Style/Xref to be uploaded into DMS (Upload Font and Plot Style) and the reported Multisheet artefacts to be deleted and the file uploaded into DMS again.
Bulk CSV Tool - Uploading Multisheet Files
The Bulk CSV Tool does not support uploading of Multisheet files into DMS (updating Multisheet artefact metadata via Bulk CSV is supported). If the Multisheet site flag is enabled, Multisheet DWG and PDF files will not be able to be uploaded via Bulk CSV tool.
This restriction applied to uploading against Placeholders and updating already uploaded artefacts in the Bucket. If multisheet files are identified in the upload payload an error message will be returned. Please refer to the screen shot below -
Deleted Artefact Register (or 1 out, all out)
The business rule for deleting Multisheet Artefacts in DMS is when one artefact belonging to a Multisheet File is deleted, then all of its sibling artefacts, and the source file, will be deleted and added to the Deleted Register as well. That is, select 1 sheet to action, all other sibling sheets will be automatically actioned also
If the Bucket has been configured with ‘Delete with State’ enabled, deleted artefacts are moved to the Deleted Artefact Register and are no longer available for DMS search logic. With Multisheet artefacts, if one Multisheet artefact is deleted, it and all of its sibling artefacts will appear in the Deleted Artefact Register.
The Deleted Artefact Register will indicate that an individual artefact is a Multisheet artefact by displaying the Multisheet Icon as well as the artefact sequence out of the total number of artefacts generated for the file the selected artefact belongs to.
The Deleted Artefact Register functions will be applied to Multisheet artefacts as follows -
-
Restore – if the artefact is a Multisheet artefact then the Restore function will restore it and all of its sibling artefacts and source file back into DMS.. All of the artefacts will be available for users to search and display.
-
Remove File – if the artefact is a Multisheet artefact then the Remove function will remove the source file and leave the shell artefact with history and metadata. However, the system will treat the shell artefacts generated by the Remove function as non Multisheet artefacts.
-
Purge Artefact – if the artefacts is a Multisheet artefact then the Purge function will remove and purge it and all of its sibling artefacts and source file out of the Bucket.
Example: In this screenshot below, a Multisheet Artefact that has been deleted (along with all of its sibling artefacts) is in the Deleted Artefact Register -
-
Note how the Multisheet icon and the Sheet Sequence appears on the Thumbnail to indicate it is a Multisheet artefact.
-
In the screen shot the action ‘Restore’ has been selected and DMS has provided the warning message that this action will restore not just the selected Multisheet artefact but all of its sibling artefacts.
